James 1:3
"Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worth patience."
I have been continually striving to be more patient in my words and deeds I can see a change coming in my life. I am able to understand that sometimes the trials that are placed before me are given to me so that I can learn that the Lord is in control of all things in this life. He knows what is going to happen in my life and how I need to get to where I am supposed to be. I know that as I trust in the Lords timing, I will be greatly blessed and I will be happier than if things were to go as I had planned.
James 1:6
"Let him ask in faith, nothings wavering. For he
that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."
Faith does not include doubt. To have faith in something is to believe without having a sure knowledge of it. I have faith in prayer and that it allows me to talk to God even though I cannot see him. I am able to feel his presence when it is with me and I am able to hear his voice when he speaks to me. I know that because of my faith, I do not need to fear or doubt in the unknown because with the Lord on my side, I can do all things.
