A Peaceful and Joyful Life

This weeks reading was in 1 Corinthians chapter 1.

Some questions that will be answered:

How can I be happy through my trials?

Will the Lord ever leave me?

How can I know these things?

I have never really thought about the New Testament as I think of it now. There are many amazing lessons taught in the stories that are told. Something that stood out to me from this chapter was that by the grace of God, I can do all things with joy and happiness. I have always known that with Gods help, I can do all things but from the reading today, I added on “with joy and happiness.” Although life is hard and trials come about, this life is meant to be enjoyed. There are so many blessings that the Lord has given me, I need to remember to focus on the good and I will be able to be happy even through the hard times. The Lord will never leave me in trials and he will never let me be alone in my darkest hours. The Savior suffered from me so that I will always have someone who knows what I am going through. I find such joy in knowing that I always have someone on my side, rooting for me.

In verse 9 it says, “God is faithful.” This means that God will do everything that he has promised us, He wants to bless us, and He is always happy to help us when we ask. Faithful is a strong word in these latter days. I feel like it becomes harder and harder to stay faithful to what ywe believe as Satan’s temptations get stronger and the worldly things become more deceiving. This scripture reminds us that God is always going to be faithful to us and we need to be faithful to him and those around us. We can be faithful in our work, in our callings, to our families, to our spouses, to the things we know are true, and to our faith. We must remember this always.
